About Rise Above Justice Movement

We are the Rise Above Justice Movement, a grassroots initiative that started organizing during the 2024 Election and quickly realized that we have a lot of work to do in survivor advocacy and pursuing justice. Fighting for justice is essential for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) for several deeply personal, societal, and systemic reasons.

We do this through five core values of our movement:

4). Social Change and Breaking Silence

5). Peace and Closure

We believe a world is possible in which we can all thrive without the fear of violence ripping through our communities. As survivors of sexual and gender based violence, we believe in advocating for survivors and empowering our allies to fight alongside us. We uplift, unite, and fight alongside survivors to ensure our voices are not silenced. We are committed to sharing the stories that don't reach the headlines and are often overlooked by the mainstream media. We believe in empowering others to overcome oppression and advocating for the underserved, marginalized, and underrepresented communities.
